Angela Watts has called San Clemente home for nearly a decade and never plans to leave. She lives in North Beach with her husband and two kids — a 4-year-old and a 9-year-old at San Clemente Preschool and Las Palmas — and her days look a lot like: morning runs down the PCH, afternoons on the beach or at the sports fields, and the 204 steps as her backyard warm-up.

An avid marathoner and ultra-marathoner, Angela is most at home with miles under her feet. When she's not running, she's in the water or wrangling two kids who are growing up with the Pacific as their playground.

Professionally, Angela works in enterprise technology sales and has spent her career building businesses she believes in — including a stint running Slyde Handboards, a bodysurf company that landed on Shark Tank ( got investment from Mark Cuban and Ashton Kucther) and felt right at home in San Clemente's surf culture.

Angela joined the Friends of San Clemente Board because giving back to this community is a no-brainer for her. She cares about protecting the beaches, supporting the schools, and keeping this town the kind of place families actually want to stay.
